GIS Sales Manager: Mapping Software and Digital Data

The key focus of responsibility is to meet and exceed revenue objectives. You will be responsible for winning business through webinar, telephone and face to face calls, personally and via your team. To help you achieve your full potential, pre and post sales assistance is also provided by the GIS and data technical team. Your team will be responsible for income for the entire GIS, territory optimisation and mapping side of the business. You will manage both sales and administrative staff to provide excellent service to existing accounts (thus encouraging renewal revenue), generate new business and respond to leads and opportunities generated by the Marketing team. This solution selling vacancy arises due to promotion of the previous manager, and offers an exciting opportunity to build on MapMechanics proven success in this area.

Who we're looking for

MapMechanics is looking for an exceptional sales person who has a proven new business background, ideally in an IT or GIS solution role.

  • You will have relevant and successful sales experience in a B2B software company.
  • Ideally you will have worked in a similar leadership role, but this could be your first full team responsibility.
  • Knowledge of territory management, digital mapping or geographical information systems would all be useful, although not essential to succeed in this post.
  • You will have exceptional presentation and IT demonstration skills and a proven background of qualifying customer needs and translating product functionality into client value.
  • You will have a track record of consistent over-achievement against your targets and a demonstrated ability to achieve results while operating under minimal supervision.
  • You will be Degree/Diploma qualified or have the equivalent training in business, marketing or sales.
